WELCOME TO THE INFORMATION SECTION

The purpose of THIS bit is to inform new, and current students, of everything that's going on in Aberdeen. Whether you want to find something to do, want to see where people like eating, or are looking for information on local travel, we want to help you find the information you're after.

This section has turned out to be the trickiest of all, despite just being a static resource. The information that is here to begin with is pretty basic stuff, and for a lot of ideas we're going to have to rely on YOU to tell us what you WANT to know, or what you think others SHOULD know. At the end of the day, we want this to be a website which is made through contribution by as many people as possible, so that in the near future everyone can have a place to come for a really informed set of opinions about this city.

We've toyed with ideas, and we've cut a lot out. Even in the "Important Info" section, we've ended up with a heap of telephone numbers that should be helpful, when we really wanted to say things like "despite what everyone says, Torry really isn't all that bad" - but that just didn't seem that constructive. Also, it's not the section to be mentioning the Tunnels (which no-one ever finds randomly). Equally, our comments about taxis being way too expensive, and in short supply at club-out time went the same way, but this IS stuff you should know.

Everyone who contributes ideas for pages, or sections will get a mention in our credits (which, lets be honest, is purely there for reasons dé Ego), and we really hope that most people will think "if only I'd known THAT when I came here, life would have been better/sweet/easier/cheaper" - delete as appropriate, and let us know, so we can inform the unwashed masses!

So please, ANYTHING AT ALL that you think should be included drop us a line and when we "soft launch" to see what everyone thinks of us, we'll hopefully have sorted out a LOT of free booze to give away randomly to those who give us (positive OR negative) feedback.
